How the Countdown Works
Finding the Next Holiday
The calculator has a pre-defined list of common holidays and the rules to find their dates each year.
- Select a Holiday: When you choose a holiday, the calculator looks up its rule. For example, "Christmas Day" is always December 25th.
- Find the Next Occurrence: It checks the date for the current year. If that date has already passed, it calculates the date for the next year. This becomes the "target date."
- Live Countdown: The tool then calculates the time difference between now and the target date, updating every second to show you the remaining days, hours, minutes, and seconds.
