How It Works
The Day-of-the-Week Check
The calculation is very simple. The tool uses the built-in capabilities of the date library to perform two key actions:
- Identify the Day: It first determines the day of the week for the selected date (e.g., Monday, Tuesday, etc.).
- Check if Weekend: It then checks if this day is either a Saturday or a Sunday. If it is, the date is classified as a weekend. Otherwise, it's a weekday.
Example
For your selected date, December 1, 2025, the calculator identified the day as Monday. Since Monday is a weekday, that is the result shown.
